History will be made this Monday, Sept 21st. Where will you be?

This Monday, activists across the country are set to do non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience against state, local and federal governments. Whether you stay at home to watch the action and share it on social media, or are out on the front lines bearing the XR flag, the rebellion needs you. Rebels will be risking arrest, peacefully, and socially distanced as possible.

An Historic Wildfire has Swept Across the West Coast, Leaving Cities in Smoke.

Over 4.7 million acres across the western states have burned, leaving devastation in their wake. Climate change is fueling a smoky disaster, forcing cities to stay indoors.

Oregon has seen 5 megafires (100,000+ acres burned) already this month, compared to the 6 experienced in the 20th century. For more information on this history, check out this Willamette Weekly article.

September 21st – Salmon Street Fountain on Portland’s Westside Waterfront – 3pm

The location and time are set! This rebel action starts at the Salmon Street Fountain at 3pm on Monday the 21st. This action will include arrestable actors, and many non-arrestable, fun roles. The action includes a die in and some spicier NVCD as well. Every rebel is needed. Every body counts. Bolster the rebellion by boosting on social media! Or RSVP using the action network!

It’s not too late to make last minute preparations. Join the NVCD lesson on Saturday to prepare.

Non Arrestable Actions Training

Want to learn how to be effective, and also not get arrested. If you are looking to dip your toes into NVCD without a lot of risk, Non-Arrestable actions are the way to go. They are fun, and if done right, very effective. For actors who deem avoiding arrest to be as necessary as saving the planet, this workshop is essential.

Topics include: Efffectiveness, Respect, Non-Violence, Media, Police, Communication, Safety and more.

Chapters are a great way to mobilize and do actions without waiting for your local mobilizers to give direction.
