While Enbridge’s destructive Line 3 tar sands pipeline has been built, our community is strong and the work of the water protectors continues. As we bounce back, more determined than ever, we invite you to join us, once again at the rivers!

Minnesota

Minnesota: Water is Sacred (IPL)

June 3-5: Water Is Sacred Gathering: In Itasca State Park in Park Rapids, MN, people of faith and conscience are gathering at the sacred Mississippi Headwaters. We will honor the life-giving waters, affirm Native and Indigenous sovereignty, and nurture our connections with one another and the earth. Come away invigorated in our shared work of fighting for a world where treaties are honored and we’re free of fossil fuels.

Minnesota: Shell River Revival

3 weekends, June 17-19, July 15-17, Aug 26-28: Shell River Revival. Honor the Earth and community members from many walks of life are forming the Shell River Alliance to protect Minnesota’s Shell River watershed through education, advocacy, land trust/conservation work and building of community. We invite our friends, allies, and water protectors to join us for three weekends at the Shell City Campground. We will serve food and provide an opportunity to share updates on the work to protect the Shell River and make plans to work together. Wisconsin

Wisconsin: Communities United by Water

June 25th weekend: Chequamegon Bay Celebration in Ashland, WI. Large water protector gathering – let’s dance, sing, feast and organize!

The Gulf South – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

June 4: If your home is closer to the southern end of the Mississippi river, check out the Gulf South Gathering for Climate, Justice and Joy happening in Baton Rouge, LA!
