3,095: Total legislator contacts made by the Civic Action Team in 2021!
76: Days left in the legislative session!
And just look at those numbers! Let’s keep the momentum going!
This week closes the first quarter of the legislative session, which means that bills need to be given an Executive Session and voted out of committee this week in order to remain in play for the remainder of the session. (The exceptions are bills that will go through the House Fiscal, and Senate Ways & Means Committees, and the Transportation Committees in both chambers. And bills with revenue that are “Necessary To Implement Budget” get an indefinite hall pass).
Today and Wednesday are our last chances to move policy-only bills forward. So, are you ready to write some short emails? Executive Sessions don’t have public sign-ins but we can still urge key members of the committees to vote the right way!
