Jeanne,

I hope you have had a great week. As you may have noticed, there is quite a lot going on with the Washington Can’t Wait Campaign and we appreciate your patience as we try our best to give you the information you need to advocate for housing and climate justice this session. Below you will find reminders for what is coming up next week and how you can get involved!

HB1099: Adding Climate Change to the GMA

HB 1099 has its first hearing in the Senate House and Local Government Committee on Tuesday, 3/16, at 8 AM. We need as many people as possible to let the committee know that this is a must-pass bill:

  1. Sign in ‘PRO’ for the legislative record

  2.  Email the committee to vote ‘YES’ on HB 1099

  3. Submit Written Testimony

HB1220: Updating the GMA Housing Element

HB 1220 has its first hearing in the Senate House and Local Government Committee on Thursday, 3/18, at 8 AM. Again, it is vital that the committee hear overwhelming support for this housing justice legislation:

  1. Sign in ‘PRO’ for the legislative record

  2.  Email the committee to vote ‘YES’ on HB 122

  3. Submit Written Testimony
