I hope you’re safe, healthy and doing okay in the craziness that is COVID-19.
It’s t-minus 8 days until Earth Day Live and starting today, we’re going to send daily email updates between now and the end of the campaign to provide transparency, share wins, and allow for feedback/ideas/questions. I’m sending this first one just to get us started, but there is so much more going on that I have likely missed things that we’ll make sure are included in coming updates.

General updates
- Over 13,000 people have RSVP’d to Earth Day Live
- The Earth Day Live website has been updated:
- Now has lots more information including confirmed participants, a local livestream map, 3 day content and FAQs.
- We have a Get Involved page to share with any website, company, organization or person you know to help promote Earth Day LIve.
- If you RSVP, you’ll trigger the register to vote workflow.
- We also have a page specific to voter registration that we’ll be building out with more information and tools: https://www.earthdaylive2020.org/vote/
- We have an approved WordPress plugin that any WordPress site can use to install the Earth Day Live banner. Instructions here.
- Also instructions for other major site platforms here (Shopify, Tumblr, Squarespace, etc).
- Lots more social media assets have been added including Zoom backgrounds, Snapchat filters and more. Drive folder here.
- We’ve started configuring Maestro as a wrapper for the livestream player on earthdaylive2020.org – stay tuned for a preview of this!
- It includes some amazing embedded engagement tools like chat, polls, sharing, donations, iFrame embeds and more.
- It also includes custom overlays we can trigger during the stream to allow for calls to actions that align with the stream content, and the host can call it out.
