Good evening, CATs! Here’s our weekly volunteer update.

We are just over a month away from the start of the Washington State legislative session!

Now it’s time to get all of our volunteers plugged into Teams & Roles and cross trained up for the important work we’ll carry together during session.

Together, we are going to make it possible for thousands of people across Washington to take tens of thousands of advocacy actions on sound and just climate policy.

Please be sure to check out these awesome resources.

CAT Hot Takes

  • We had an awesome Bill Tracker Team meeting this week with a special training from David Perk on How to Use the WA State Legislative Website.

    • Catch up on our past videos to help you get connected to this work. You can find past recordings in the Volunteer Guide.

  • The Email Team has wrapped up our weekly planning meetings – now we are recruiting and cross training volunteers into the crucial roles and shifts in our legislative session calendar.

  • Thanks to everyone who filled out our Lobbying Team’s quick survey to help in updating some of their information so we can watch for potential legislative lobbying opportunities that might benefit from your voice and story as a constituent. There’s still time to fill it out!

  • We have a new Onboarding Team. Team members Rachel & Sue have been meeting with new volunteers to learn more, explore resources, and get plugged into our campaign.
