Tell the banks – NO Mountain Valley Pipeline!

For years, activists in Appalachia have been fighting the Mountain Valley Pipeline. If built, this fracked gas pipeline would have the same climate impact as 23 new coal plants ― and it would account for at least 1% of all greenhouse gases from the US energy sector.

Here’s where you come in: We’re demanding that the top six financial backers of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) pull their money from this toxic project.

Send a message to JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, MUFG, TD Bank, PNC, and Wells Fargo and tell them that continuing to fund the MVP is unacceptable.

Since 2017, the Mountain Valley Pipeline has faced a raft of legal challenges and years of relentless activism. In the face of this pressure, the project cost of the pipeline has almost doubled to $6.6 billion. If completed, the 304-mile fracked gas pipeline system would span from northwestern West Virginia to southern Virginia.

But the pipeline is over three years behind schedule and has already faced millions of dollars in fines for water quality violations.

The Mountain Valley Pipeline boondoggle has become the latest example of how far the fossil fuel industry and the financial sector will go to force these failing projects through, even as renewable energy surges forward.

For years, activists, organizers and everyday people across Appalachia have been fighting this toxic pipeline.

Stand in solidarity with Appalachian organizers — send a message to the banks funding this fracked-gas monstrosity and tell them to drop their support.

It’s time to end this devastating pipeline and let communities and the environment begin the important work of restoration that has been denied for so long by this beleaguered project.
