Interim Public Engagement Report & Tax Survey

The Washington State Tax Structure Work Group has released an Interim Public Engagement Report summarizing community and business engagement to date. This interim report includes the outcomes of 14 Tax Town Halls, 29 presentations to community and business groups, and 5 multilingual focus groups. At each of these events, participants shared feedback about different ideas for changing Washington’s taxes.

In spring 2022, the Work Group will release a final report that includes the results from English surveys and multilingual surveys. The Work Group is interested in getting input from individual taxpayers and businesses through these surveys that will be open through January 31, 2022. Below are two options for filling out a survey depending on how much time you have. Each survey is available in six languages (Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Vietnamese).

Short survey (5-10 minutes) focused on taxes that affect individuals. Available in English and 6 other languages.
Long survey (30 minutes) focused on taxes that affect individuals and businesses. Available in English and 6 other languages.
