Dear Friends,
It was great to see you last week for our teach-in on the health impacts of the proposed Tacoma LNG facility. We hope you enjoyed learning from our panel of experts and are walking away ready to contribute your voice in this fight. It’s still not too late to protect our environment and health from even more toxic activity in the Port of Tacoma, but we need your help!

Get involved with Washington Physicians for Social responsibility:
WPSR would love your help with our climate work in Washington. We believe that as health professionals it is our duty to prevent what we cannot cure. For a rapidly changing climate, this means pushing as hard as we can now to make sure Washington is a leader in reducing our carbon emissions. In the current confluence of crises, we must ensure that our state recovers in a way that is just and takes care of our most vulnerable communities first. Only then are real climate solutions possible. Sign up for email alerts or reach out to nick@wpsr.org to learn about our other climate work and how you can help. You don’t need to be a health professional, all are welcome!
Get Involved with 350 Tacoma:
Volunteers needed! 350 Tacoma is an independent local group in the 350.org network and we advocate for a swift and just transition away from fossil fuels to a green energy economy. We recognize the intersectionality of the climate movement with other struggles for justice here in our community and are proud of our partnerships with other organizations. We are an all volunteer group and are always looking for more folks to join. Check us out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and sign up for our email updates here.
See you soon!
