Jeanne, while we grapple with the compound crises of COVID-19, climate change-fueled fires raging in the West, storms like Hurricane Sally hitting the Gulf, and racial and economic injustice – it’s time for us to come together.
As we fight to protect Black and Indigenous communities, communities of color, and workers on the frontlines of these crises, we need to support one another by organizing for immediate relief.
Instead of handing out billions in stimulus money to save failing fossil fuel companies and fuel more fires and storms, we demand these resources be redistributed to community relief.
We demand a Just Recovery that: prioritizes community-led recovery in hardest hit communities; protects all workers and our democracy; provides immediate relief directly to people; stops fossil fuels; and invests in a Green New Deal that centers racial justice.
34 days before the November election, let’s come together to connect the dots between climate disasters, hold fossil fuel billionaires accountable, and protect our communities.
Yours in the movement,
