Hi Jeanne-

I’m reaching out today as 350 Wenatchee is a partner in the Stop the Money Pipeline coalition.

On Friday, October 2nd Stop the Money Pipeline is partnering with frontline leaders to organize Stop Funding Tar Sands – a day of solidarity with frontline communities.

During the Stop Funding Tar Sands Online Rally, frontline leaders, including Kanahus Manuel with the Tiny House Warriors, Tara Houska with the Giniw Collective, and Jasilyn Charger with Earth Guardians, will share their stories. Simone Johnson of the Future Coalition, the leading organization behind the US Youth Climate Strikes, will be the MC. More speakers will be announced soon.

We’ll also be live streaming from actions at Liberty Mutual’s HQ in Boston, Chase and BlackRock’s HQ in New York, and from other actions across the country. And throughout the rally, we will be inviting participants to take action: calling and writing decision-makers, signing the don’t bank with fossil funders pledge, and sharing the action far and wide on social media. We’re hoping that all STMP coalition partners will be able to get the word to their supporters. We created this Stop Funding Tar Sands – Promotion Toolkit. The Toolkit has sample emails, social posts, RSVP links, and artwork. The Facebook event also just got posted here.

Do you think that  350 Wenatchee could help us get the word out about the Stop Funding Tar Sands day of action by promoting it on your social media and to your email lists?

In solidarity
