One last update for the day: dozens of activists are now camping out overnight at Citi’s HQ. They’ll be there to welcome the bank’s top executives as they walk into work for the annual shareholder meeting tomorrow morning. If you’re in New York, you can show up in the morning to join them. Details below.

Right now, dozens of climate activists are setting up tents and rolling out sleeping mats at Citi’s HQ in Tribeca, near Lower Manhattan. They are planning to occupy the headquarters of the world’s second-largest funder of fossil fuels until Citi’s annual shareholder meeting starts at 9am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Can you join the climate occupiers between 730am and 9am tomorrow morning outside of Citi’s annual shareholder meeting? (Here’s the address!)

Citi HQ, April 24th, 6PM

The plan is to have loud, impossible-to-ignore climate protests happening as the bank’s top executives walk into the annual shareholder meeting tomorrow. The noisy, creative action will continue for as long the meeting is happening.

The annual shareholder meeting starts at 9am, so if you are able to join between 730am and 9am, please do so! Even if you can only join us for a short time on your way to work, we’d love to see you there! (Here’s that address again!)

Hi all,

Hundreds are now marching and sitting in at Citi’s HQ in NYC, as faith leaders and allies engaged in a die-in at BOA’s HQ, and activists held the space all day long at Wells Fargo’s HQ in San Fran.

Meanwhile, multiple activists with XR-NYC have been arrested for spraypainting Citi and Bank of America branches with the words “climate criminal” and “no new oil”: Twitter here and here. Instagram here.

STMP friends and allies,

Right now, activists in San Francisco have completely shut down Wells Fargo’s Global HQ & faith leaders and allies are rallying outside Bank of America’s HQ in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Please amplify:

These actions come the day before the bank’s most important meetings of the year, so any help amplifying these actions is especially welcome!

If you’re in New York, it’s not too late to join the 3rd big action of the day: a sit-in and rally at Citi’s HQs that kicks off at 430ET, where earlier today, XR-NYC activists were arrested for painting Citi windows with the words “no new oil and gas” and “climate criminal”.
We’ll update this thread with updates and social posts from the 3 actions throughout the day. Any help amplifying these actions the day before the AGMs is much appreciated!
