We are nearly halfway through the legislative session! We recognize that taking these actions takes time (sometimes more than an hour!) and we’re incredibly grateful for your work. Many of you continue to leave us feedback and we always love hearing from you! Thank you!

The bad news is that Healthy Homes, Clean Buildings HB 1084 will not move forward this session. Strong opposition in the latest public hearing was a factor. Our work hasn’t stopped however. We will need to continue educating our own legislatures about the importance (and urgency) of transitioning to all-electric buildings. We recognize that strong advocacy is required for good, sound bills to pass and we’re committed to continuing to make that happen.

What’s next? Moving bills through the two Rules Committees for a floor vote, and then we begin the same process of public hearings and executive sessions in their opposite chamber. There’s still a lot to do!
