Let’s start off with some good news. Three bills we’ve been advocating for have already reached the Governor’s desk for signature (Voter Eligibility/Felony, Private Detention Facilities and Cargo Handling Equipment) and it’s looking very promising for at least five police accountability bills. Several others are waiting for concurrence votes, where the originating chamber accepts the changes made in the opposite chamber.

Admittedly, there’s still a lot in flux, so we’re not quite ready to celebrate!
