“I told you this was going to happen.” That’s what Chase CEO Jamie Dimon groaned when we showed up at an event and interrupted him with a very urgent message: “Jamie Dimon, the world is on fire. Stop funding the climate crisis.”

He was right. RAN, and an incredible network of allies and leaders around the country, have shown up to so many of his events, he expects to see us now. Collectively we’ve shut down his bank’s branches to show him that we’re not backing down. We had Chase’s phones ringing off the hook to deliver one clear message: The days of profiting from climate chaos are over.

And we’re just getting started, Jeanne. It’s your turn to deliver a message to our friend Jamie: Tell him to defund projects and companies that abuse human rights, create climate chaos, or fund deforestation.

Our forests are on fire, our farmlands are in drought, and our cities are at risk of drowning. So let’s flood Jamie with messages telling him how disappointed you are with Chase’s lack of response to this urgent climate crisis.

JPMorgan Chase can turn the tide of this crisis, and halt the gruesome consequences of the $196 billion it’s poured into fossil fuel investments in the last three years. Millions of lives are depending on Chase to invest in our future instead of in lethal fossil fuels.

It’s a choice, Jeanne. Let’s demand Jamie Dimon lead with the right choice, the choice that begins and ends with defunding climate change.
