Friends, many of you may have already seen this from my 350.org colleague Richard. This email is PACKED with the tools and resources you’ll want for amplifying our nonpartisan Get Out the Vote work across your networks and to your email lists.

Can you help spread the word on these opportunities today?
In service,

To: 350 Local Group Leaders <350-local-group-leaders@googlegroups.com>

Dear friends,

With just two weeks until the US election, 350.org, like many organizations, is focused on protecting voters’ rights and getting out the vote. We are writing to ask you to help spread the word and to join us.

It perhaps goes without saying, that we are doing this nonpartisan election work because we know that to effectively address the climate crisis, we need solutions across sectors that prioritize those most impacted — Black, Indigenous, communities of color, workers and low income communities. And that protecting the vote and getting the vote out advances this work. We’d like to ask your help in three specific ways:

Share the All of Us Will Be Counted video

The video All Of Us Will Be Counted was produced to inspire people to see and act on the links between environmental justice, climate, and democracy. We would greatly appreciate your help in sharing it with your networks.  This toolkit includes quick links to English and Spanish social media posts of the video, sample post text, as well as the YouTube video link.

Join us in Getting out the Climate Vote

350.org is running the Climate Vote Project GOTV effort with a goal of making  350,000 calls by Election Day and to secure hundreds of poll and social media monitors. We have partnered with the Environmental Voter Project to make calls to high potential environmentalist voters in 12 states.

We welcome volunteers from your organization on these phonebanks. Each phone bank includes a short training session on WHY we are doing this work and the mechanics of using the “hubdialer” calling system.  Interested volunteers can sign in the volunteer section of our Climate Vote Project website (or jump directly to the schedule here). This toolkit has resources to help spread the word about the Climate Vote Project.

We are interested in partnering with your organization if you’d like to adopt one or more phone banking shifts. If you’re interested in partnering on a phone book please contact Dominique Thomas <dominique.thomas@350.org> or Kevin Whelan <kevin.whelan@350.org> (612)414-9731.

Protect the Vote

We are also working with the Protect the Vote coalition to recruit hundreds of Election Day poll monitors and volunteers to do social media monitoring to combat disinformation. Please consider sending an email to your supporters asking them to train up to be a Protect the Vote volunteer.

Thanks for all you are doing for a just and livable world.

In solidarity,

Richard
