We just wanted to make sure you got our invitation to Saturday’s #ForwardTogether virtual mass mobilization.
We’re gathering thousands of people across the country to align our efforts and spring to action on our collective demands for the incoming Biden administration and Congress: defund the police, pass the BREATHE Act, protect Black lives with climate justice and COVID 19 relief, and more.
With a couple weeks til inauguration, let’s be clear — the Biden administration won and the Senate flipped because of us. Black organizers and voters changed the political balance to create a more just future. Now it’s up to us to remind the incoming administration what we put them there to do.
The Frontline is a powerful coming together of the Movement for Black Lives, United We Dream, the Working Families Party, the Rising Majority, and others. And for January 16, the Women’s March joins the Frontline to set in motion #ForwardTogether, an unprecedented virtual mobilization that will change history during inauguration week.
This mobilization will be broken out into meetings and segments. We need you to join so we can center Black people’s needs and demands: defund the police, pass the BREATHE Act, and protect Black lives with climate justice and COVID 19 relief. Saturday, we will connect you with others in your state to power up local action and mutual aid. And we’ll align so we can come together to pressure the Biden administration and the new Senate majority to center Black community. We made their electoral wins possible.
Coming together to strategize right now is key. What the Biden administration does in its first one hundred days sets the tone for policies for years to come. On January 16, we will set campaign strategies into action. And the more who join, the higher the pressure we can ramp up together during inauguration.
Let’s make our long-standing vision for Black lives a reality.
In solidarity and power, Movement for Black Lives
