If you’ve seen the images from Haiti this week, you know our family there is in the streets facing violence for protesting an authoritarian government. Adding to this crisis, the Biden administration is deporting an estimated 1,800 Haitian immigrants this month, including hundreds of children and infants.
It’s unacceptable for the U.S. government to deport already vulnerable Black immigrants – from Haiti, Cameroon, and Mauritania – and force them into dangerous political conditions.
During Black Immigrant Advocacy Week of Action, Black immigrant advocates across the M4BL ecosystem are calling on the Biden administration to recognize and address systemic anti-Black racism in how the government treats immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. #Act4BlackImms
