Good evening to all my climate organizing friends in the PNW,
What a fantastic conversation we had this week!
We were especially thrilled to welcome 350 Eugene as the very first Oregon group to join our virtual community. It was great to hear from seasoned organizer Patty Hines (350 Eugene Board President) and to explore the struggles and challenges of growing a local group over many years. We all have plenty to learn from Patty and 350 Eugene, and lots to share, too.
Also, I have a big announcement:
After meeting nearly every Monday night since the start of March (approximately one million years ago, right?) we are now moving to every-other-week gatherings in order to free up more time for our organizing. We’ll meet this coming Monday to connect and lift our spirits on election eve, then start every-other-week after that. Thank you for your flexibility as we adapt to the changing organizing landscape of 2020… and beyond.
