Featured speakers will include Tom Goldtooth, founder of Indigenous Environmental Network, Miya Yoshitani, director of Asian Pacific Environmental Network, Monica Lewis Patrick of We the People of Detroit, and Silas, a 13 year old Anishinaabe who is active in the fight to stop the Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota.
“On the Frontline: Climate Justice for the People”will include:
Testimony from on the ground struggles including indigenous youth fighting pipeline expansion in Minnesota, and the fight for clean water in Detroit.
Political education on false solutions such as carbon markets and why proposals coming out of Washington don’t address the root causes of climate change, or the disparity of climate impacts on working-class and communities of color.
The THRIVE Agenda – a truly bold recovery package to revive our economy while addressing climate change, racial injustice, public health, and economic inequity with a plan to create millions of dignified jobs.
Will you join us? We need real solutions for our people and our planet.
