You probably didn’t sleep any better than we did last night, and you probably have a knot in your stomach too.
It could be days or weeks before the winner of the presidential election is declared—and in that time, things could get ugly, and they’re almost certain to get confusing. Now more than ever, it’s essential to hold close our vision of the world we need: a world that’s just, sustainable, antiracist, and beautiful. And we need to understand our power: coming together to demand change and then to make that world.
There will likely be days or weeks of people pouring into the streets to demand that all the votes be counted, and that every person be protected—from voter suppression, from white supremacy, from violence of all kinds.
We need you. We’ll need people showing up in the streets, people making art, people leading chants, and people taking bold nonviolent direct action.
