Thanks to our panelists and to everyone who tuned in on Wednesday for the first Pipeline Fighters Hub Briefing on “Carbon Capture & CO2 Pipelines.”
It was an eye-opening and informative discussion on this subject that seems to have come front-and-center very quickly, especially for Nebraskans who are this week being contacted by a company seeking to survey their land for a proposed CO2 pipeline.
We’re also excited to announce the topic for next month’s Pipeline Fighters Hub Briefing:
“Recent Pipeline Fighter Wins & Unfinished Business.”
The briefing will feature representatives from the grassroots and frontline organizers on recently-cancelled pipeline projects like Keystone XL, Byhalia, and Atlantic Coast. The discussion will focus on lessons learned, as well as the “unfinished business” that remains after a project is cancelled, like court cases for Water Protectors, returning easements to landowners, and organizing to get protections for our water enacted at the local level.
We’ll send along an update soon with the date and panelists for next month’s briefing, along with the registration link.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already — subscribe to our “Extracted” email newsletter — which delivers news clips and updates relevant for Pipeline Fighters and Water Protectors to your inbox daily, Monday-Friday. (See a sample edition’s headlines below):
