Join us June 1 – 4, to learn nonviolent direct action (NVDA) skills, connect with others in the forest and climate defense communities, and sleep under the stars! Together, we’ll learn & draw from the lessons and strengths of both the climate justice and forest defense movements, with the goal of building a vibrant direct-action movement to protect our communities, forests, and climate. Workshops include organizing and participating in direct action, creating vibrant protest art, forest defense, strategy, and tactics, and more. Following the camp, there will be opportunities to plug into upcoming actions and campaigns.
We still have a few spaces left for the Indigenous Peoples Power Project Creative Resistance track. Content will include the importance of messaging and owning your narrative; it will help build technique to create a visual voice for your movement work. You’ll get hands-on experience and learn skills like wheat paste, screen printing, and banner making. For this track, please be in attendance for the full camp program, June 1-4, arriving by 9 am on Friday, June 2.
- The Creative Resistance track is the only one you need to pre-register for – the link to sign up for spots will come in the follow-up email when you register.
- If you’d like to be on a Signal group for 350 Seattle attendees, email Alice.
- Camp is free and you will be well fed!
See you in the woods.
