Whew – can you say hot?
Fortunately, Friday July 16th looks to be cooler than the next few days! (Just hope it doesn’t come with thunderstorms.)
Please plan to come to Memorial Park @ 1:30pm and we’ll have our meeting. (Hope Kurt finds the shady spot on the library side again 🙂
We will hold our action at Wells Fargo from 3:30-5pm. Fossil Fuelman holding crying baby face will join us. We’ll have great banners, Earth & BLM flags, some new signage, oil pipeline and music too. Invite your friends and join us! While the exact address of Wells Fargo is 301 N. Chelan, we’ll meet on the Mission Street side. The plan is to walk against traffic around the block. If you prefer not walking then by all means, stay in one area.
Wells Fargo (#2 funder of fossil fuels after Chase) is a top lender on $4.6 billion in loans to Enbridge, the company behind the toxic Line 3 pipeline. The credit renewal expires on July 22nd and 23rd. This is the moment when banks can legally and easily walk away from Line 3. Join us in this solidarity action – there will be MANY across the nation, if not the world.
