THE CHELAN COUNTY CLIMATE RESILIENCE STRATEGY:
Chelan County’s first Climate Resilience Strategy Workshop met in May; then they invited the public to read and react to the plan that was developed out of the results of the first workshop. Now, they would like your input. Please read the plan which is found on the link below. If you have feedback on the strategy document, or know of someone who would like to give feedback but was unable to attend, there is a survey open from now through Wednesday, August 26th. The survey link is copied below, and contains links to the full draft strategy and Chelan County webpage with an overview of the project:

THE AMAZON: THE LUNGS OF THE WORLD!
More than 1 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest burned last year — that’s almost 2 MILLION football fields ravaged by the fire. And it’s happening again…
Brazil’s President Bolsonaro is ignoring scientists’ warnings about the approaching irreversible collapse of the forest. His policies are embolding local mafia groups to destroy pristine areas for timber and gold, and to kill environmental defenders and indigenous people who stand in their way. We urgently need an all-out rebellion to stop him.
The EU can save the Amazon — they’re about to ratify a multi-billion dollar trade deal that will benefit Brazil the most. But if we call on the EU to freeze the trade deal, it can force Bolsonaro to save the lungs of our planet!
