Black trans, gender non-conforming, and intersex people are central to the fight for Black liberation. We can’t fight against anti-Blackness and white supremacy without fighting transphobia, homophobia, and the ways white supremacy upholds harmful gender policing and many forms of gender-based violence – including the epidemic of deadly violence against Black trans women and femmes.
When we build a world where Black trans, GNC, and intersex people are safe and thriving, we build a world where every Black life matters.
Join The Movement for Black Lives for a webinar on Ending the War on Black Trans, GNC, and Intersex People. This webinar is the first in a series of Black August conversations around the recently relaunched Vision for Black Lives 2020, updated to reflect current conditions and a deepened Black queer trans feminist and disability justice analysis. Let’s get into how we will more consistently and authentically work to end racialized , transphobia, and patriarchal violence as part of our movement for Black liberation!

The revamped Vision for Black Lives 2020 has been expanded and deepened to meet current political conditions through a disability justice, reproductive justice, and Black trans queer feminist lens. We have significantly expanded our demands to End the War on Black Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex People in light of the ongoing epidemic of violence against Black trans women and the Trump administration’s intensified anti-trans policies.
Our movement must center the experiences, voices, and visions of Black people living at the intersections of ableist, gender-based, and homophobic and transphobic violence.
We will leave no Black people behind on the path to liberation.
