Backbone Campaign

Jeanne —

RTW-PostersSet1.gifBackbone just ordered a set of uplifting and empowering GOBOs relevant for this time and will soon be projecting (safely) in communities across the US, to uplift folks’ spirits and put forth important messaging.  Stay tuned for the pictures!
We are also organizing more interviews with progressive leaders on resiliency, solutions, and new paths forward.

Check the Calendar on our website for updates.

Watch last week’s interview with community organizing Jim Diers, Neighbor Power in a Time of Pandemic HERE.  You will not be sorry you took the time to hear these inspirational stories of community empowerment in the face of struggle.
Here are some other helpful opportunities:

1. Connect and Empower! – HOW TO Use Zoom for Online Connecting: a Tutorial so you can overcome isolation and connect with your networks. Backbone is offering tutorials on using the Zoom tool – you can use this for connecting with family and friends, meetings, etc.  Folks are even using it creatively for virtual coffee dates and happy hours, bookgroups, spiritual and religious services, yoga classes, choirs, music concerts, and much more!

Choose the session convenient to you:

Friday, March 20th, 9am Pacific|Noon Eastern –RSVP for Friday’s call

Saturday March 21, 9am Pacific|Noon Eastern –RSVP for Saturday’s Call

* An Intermediate Level Zoom Tutorial happens Sunday at 4pm Pacific|7pm Eastern.  More info and RSVP HERE.

Let’s increase our comfort with using the tool and work out any tech impediments – so you can be more connected to your community.

2. POSTERS – Backbone Board Co-Chair Jim Farrell mobilized artists in our community to create the posters below.  Thanks to local artists Jenna Riggs, Bill Jarcho (Backbone co-founder), and Joe Panzetta, we are blanketing our town with these! Download and print these high resolution PDFs to post around your community: Stay Safe, Six Feet, Wash Yo Hands.

3. RESCHEDULED – Solutionary Perspectives Interview: The Future of Trucking, with professor Steve Viscelli, author of “The Big Rig: Trucking and the Decline of the American Dream” next Wednesday, March 25th, Noon(Pacific)|3pm(Eastern).  More Info and RSVP Here.

4. SUPPORT – if you can, please make a one time or recurring donation to Backbone Campaign’s work, here (one time) or here (monthly).

Let’s work together, to remake our world.
