TOMORROW, August 28, 2020 at 7:00 PM ET, we bring you the first Black National Convention in over 40 years!
We need each and every one of you to dream a new Black future with us. Here’s how — go to BlackNovember.org. Register for the 2020 Black National Convention virtual event, invite your friends to a watch party, and check out the BNC experience guide.
Make Black history with us. Here’s how:
1. Register for the 2020 BNC and tell all your friends and family. Go to BlackNovember.orgright now, register, then tell everyone you know on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using hashtags #BNC2020, #BNCTaughtMe and #BlackNovember.
2. Safely host a 2020 BNC watch party. Host a watch party online or safely socially distanced.
Call 5-10 friends and tell them the 2020 Black National Convention is happening Friday, August 28 at 7:00PM ET and to watch at BlackNovember.org.
Watch online: Set up a Zoom, Google Meet, or video conference so you can share your screen and watch together online with friends and family.
Watch in-person: Set up an outdoor space for a socially-distanced hangout, put up a sheet or screen with a projector to watch the livestream together. Stock up on masks, hand sanitizer, and other PPE to share with friends and family.
Pour a beverage of your choice. Build Black political power. Enjoy the Black joy experience.
3. TOMORROW, go to BlackNovember.org and download your 2020 BNC Experience Guide. Watch along with us! If you have questions, comments or just want to give us some love, follow us on Twitter @Mvmnt4BlkLives throughout the BNC. We want to hear from you — use #BNCTaughtMe to share your story.
We’ve been charting a course from protests to power to the polls on the road to Black liberation. On August 30, M4BL will host a Black August Hip-Hop concert with Malcolm X Grassroots Movement to raise funds to free ALL political prisoners.
Visit BlackAugustHipHop.com, donate, and watch live on August 30, 2020 at 7:00 PM ET.
Dream a new Black future with us, one where we are all free.
In solidarity,
Kayla Reed, Co-Founder and Political Strategist Electoral Justice Project of the Movement for Black Lives
