Jeanne –

This is Natalie, the Policy Director at 350.org, and I want to invite you to a very special event.

Next Tuesday, I’ll be speaking at a virtual rally with our partners calling on President Biden to end fossil fuel subsidies. Since you signed the petition calling on Biden to prioritize climate in his infrastructure plan, we would love for you to attend and get an update.

Will you RSVP to attend the digital rally this Tuesday, May 25 at 7pm ET / 4pm PT to end polluter welfare?

During the rally, you’ll hear the latest updates on President Biden’s infrastructure plan from movement leaders (including me!) and elected officials. We’ll also talk about the urgent need to pass The End Polluter Welfare Act, a critical bill that would close tax loopholes and eliminate federal subsidies for the oil, gas, and coal industries.

Jeanne, we need you there because we need to build momentum and pressure Congress to pass this bill. The fossil fuel industry is already pressuring Biden to not even mention climate in his infrastructure plan. That’s why, during the call, we’ll also share how you can participate in our lobbying training series.

You and I both know that a just energy transition cannot happen while the U.S. government continues to bankroll the fossil fuel industry with billions in taxpayer dollars. But if enough of us speak out, we can move Congress and President Biden to eliminate fossil fuel subsidies and pass a climate-focused infrastructure plan.

Will you take action and join me at the digital rally this Tuesday, May 25 at 7pm ET / 4pm PT demanding President Biden and Congress to eliminate fossil fuel subsidies?

In solidarity,

Natalie Mebane
