Hi friends,
Ready for a bit of good news? Last year’s Clean Energy Transformation Act requires utilities to “maintain and regularly engage an external equity advisory group to advise the utility on equity issues” — and that includes Puget Sound Energy.
Between now and end of day Monday we have a comment opportunity as part of PSE’s 20-year planning process:
As everyone on this list already knows, PSE built the Tacoma LNG fracked gas facility in Medicine Creek Territory without complete permits and without appropriate consultation with the Puyallup Tribe. And they’ve refused to protect their customers against utility shut-offs during the pandemic, while their executives’ salaries are in the state’s top 1%.
So, yeah, equity advisory group sounds like a good start.
Thanks for your help,
David
