WA Legislative actions

In addition to the Civic Action Team’s requests I’d like you to consider commenting on Senator Hawkins’ proposals:

SB 5147 – transition school year to 11-12 months, possibly adding 30 days to the schedule

SB 5158 – DNR working with local PUD to reduce wildfire risks

SB 5000 – His hydrogen bill for fuel

All the above bills are easily read on the legislative site.

This team has taken over 1000 actions so far this legislative session. And we’re only half-way through the first phase of the legislative session, where policy bills are introduced!

Thank you for setting aside the time each day to read these emails and take these actions.By doing this work, we’re putting pressure on our electeds and showing that people are paying attention and expecting them to pass policies that will truly address the colliding crises we are in.
