Last year our volunteer-powered team successfully mobilized people across Washington to take a collective total of over 18,000 climate policy advocacy actions in the 2021 legislative session. This year, we’re focusing more than ever on building an accessible and equitable community where volunteers can develop the organizing and leadership skills it takes to do sound and just policy advocacy work.
The 350 WA Civic Action Team is a volunteer-powered climate policy advocacy campaign that works to keep justice at the core of everything we do. With a focus on strengthening community partnerships, our mission is to educate and empower people to advocate in the WA state legislature to pass strong, sound, and just climate policy.

More about the 350 Washington Civic Action Team:
The 350 Washington Network’s keystone campaign, the 350 Washington Civic Action Team, is aimed at activating individual voices across the state to advocate for bold and just climate policy in Olympia.
What do we do?
-
In its fifth year, our volunteer-run and staff-supported 350 WA CAT campaign coordinated a team of twenty statewide leaders to mobilize 400+ people to take a collective total of 18,000+ advocacy actions on climate policy in the 2021 WA state legislative session
-
We build on the previous successes of this campaign, with over 4,000 unique legislative contacts made in 2019 and nearly 6,000 contacts made in 2020.
What else do we accomplish?
-
We help individual constituents build relationships with their legislators before, during, and after the legislative session through virtual lobbying trainings and continuing engagement opportunities on climate policy
-
We provide the tools, trainings, education, and resources to make legislative action easy and accessible for all participants regardless of experience or background
-
We create a broad range of enriching volunteer team spaces and educational public celebration spaces to engage as many people as possible in climate legislation advocacy
-
We strategically and creatively partner with additional statewide advocacy organizations to expand our efficacy
