Jeanne-

On this holiday that is all about celebrating freedom and independence, I want to hold space to discuss the intersections of climate and racial justice, and honor the struggle for our collective freedom. That’s why I’m hosting a special “Independence” Day virtual Fire Drill Friday rally on July 3rd.

I’m honored to be joined by Winona LaDuke of Honor the Earth, Maurice Mitchell of Working Families Party, and Hop Hopkins of Sierra Club — some of the most inspiring activists and organizers in our movement — for a conversation around what freedom really means in the USA on this “Independence” day, and I hope you’ll join us.

Fire Drill Fridays: Independence Day Edition

Together, we’ll explore themes around the intersection of climate and racial justice, and discuss what independence from fossil fuels, police brutality, white supremacism, corporate control of our government, and systemic oppression looks like.

WHAT: Virtual Fire Drill Friday Rally: Independence Day Edition
WHEN: Friday, July 3rd at 11am PT / 2pm ET
WHERE: Facebook Live: Join from your computer or phone!
RSVP: Get all the info here and watch the livestream by following Fire Drill Fridays on Facebook.

Be sure to RSVP and invite your friends to join as well. The rally will be streamed across our social media platforms.

This Fire Drill Friday is one of our biggest yet. Please join us on July 3rd for our latest Fire Drill Fridays virtual rally with myself, Winona LaDuke, Maurice Mitchell, and Hop Hopkins.

I hope to see you there!
