This morning a new report came out warning that the Amazon is in danger of permanently transforming from rainforest into savannah.

It’s another reminder of how important next month’s election is. Joe Biden is far from perfect, but, pressured by the climate movement, he’s running on the most ambitious climate platform of any presidential candidate ever. With Biden promising to spend over $2 trillion on clean energy, jobs, and infrastructure in his first term, Julian Brave NoiseCat has called his climate plan, ”the Green New Deal in all but name,”

The incumbent, on the other hand, tells wildfire responders in California that our climate is about to start getting cooler.

If we want to save the Amazon, and so much more, we need to get Trump and his clique of climate deniers out of office. Over the last three weeks, our team of volunteers has participated in dozens of phonebanks—and two of them stand out as the most effective. Can you sign up for one this week?
