While the DNC party starts

Here is a simple fact, backed by decades of polling, voter research, focus groups and a plethora of political data: The Democratic Party cannot win without Black voters.

That’s why we’re mystified that under Chairman Tom Perez’s leadership, and with the guidance of two directors and 16 esteemed committee co-chairs, the Democratic Party rejected every single amendmentincorporating the BREATHE Act and other demands from Black leaders to the Party platform.

There is still time to do the right thing. We are inviting the DNC to stand on the right side of history with the largest social movement our nation has ever seen.

We have 3 simple demands:
1. Include the BREATHE Act in the DNC Party Platform.
2. Endorse the BREATHE ACT today.
3. Show that Black Lives Matter not just in words, but in action.

Pundits talk frequently about how Black people make up the heart of the Democratic Party — it’s common campaign wisdom that candidates mustwin Black voters in order to secure a Democratic victory.

STAND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY »We are calling on the DNC leadership to show Black Lives Matter, not just in words but in action. Lip service will not do.
