Trans Mountain action

Liberty Mutual is a last hold-out to insuring the pipeline and has until August 31st to join 18 other major insurers who have pulled out from this project. Per STAND, Trans Mountain is currently digging up the river bed in Hope, BC (territory of Sto:lo) in the midst of crucially important salmon spawn. Dozens of dead salmon – many with eggs in their bellies were discovered on the Coquihalla River.

For years, activists ― including many of you ― have been tirelessly campaigning to get insurance companies to stop supporting the destructive Trans Mountain tar sands pipeline. Already, eighteen insurance giants have publicly cut ties with the Trans Mountain pipeline.

But Liberty Mutual isn’t budging yet, so we need your help to make sure that Trans Mountain’s impacts on Indigenous rights and our climate are on its executives’ agenda.
