Calling all lawyers across the county – join for the online launch event for the Third Act Lawyers Working Group. Not a lawyer, but know one – please share the invitation with your friends who are lawyers! We’ll have remarks from Bill McKibben, and presentations from four organizations on climate-related pro bono opportunities. We’ll hear from Sierra Club, Our Children’s Trust, Lawyers for Good Government, and the Sabin Center at Columbia University about how Third Act Lawyers can help draft model legislation; work to overcome NIMBY objections to renewables; help with cutting-edge climate litigation, and more.

You’ll hear from Ben Jealous, former head of the NAACP and newly-appointed Executive Director of the Sierra Club, who is partnering on the Day of Action. We also have an exciting reveal about our 3.21.23 Day of Action regarding finding and hosting actions in your area, custom tools folks can use to start organizing for March 21, and announcements about upcoming Banking on our Future Campaign escalations  in February.

Join Third Act and sustainable investment experts from Green Retirement, Inc,Sphere mutual fund, and HIP Investor Ratings and Portfolios for the fourth and final Responsible Finance Webinar with a focus on retirement plans. Learn how to move your money to support investments in clean energy, healthy communities, and climate solutions. You will learn about practical tools, ratings, platforms, and resources you can use to implement a “fossil-fuel-free” retirement plan portfolio. Opportunities for engagement and activism with employers and investment advisors to green-up their retirement plans will also be shared.

This 60-minute Intergenerational Activism discussion is meant to give elders an opportunity to gain insight into the passions and perspectives of the future of society and sustainability from a group of people who come from different walks of life AND generations.

Third Act has partnered with 3Generations.org on a Youth Video Contest to help inspire elders to build intergenerational connections! The 2023 theme for the video contest is: THE ARC OF INTERGENERATIONAL ACTIVISM. Come learn more about intergenerational movement building and storytelling, and invite youth (18-24) in your life to join in. This discussion will be a great place for youth and elders to gain inspiration for video contest projects, intergenerational community building, and creative discovery.
