Jeanne- In my role at Greenpeace I have the daily opportunity to talk with Greenpeace supporters all around the country. As the nation is gripped by COVID-19, I am humbled to be connected to so many of you and hear your stories. So, I want to share this care package of 6 different things that delight and inspire me. I hope they will bring joy and inspiration into your life — if even for a moment. 1. There’s a new blockbuster series making waves across Brazil about protecting the Amazon. It’s called Aruanas. The series displays the bravery and important role activists play in making positive change. This series is inspired by true events and Greenpeace campaigners served as advisors for the series’ actors and producers. As a Greenpeace supporter you have FREE access to watch the episodes. 2. In these stressful times, it’s important to take time for ourselves. To tune out of the news cycle and relax. So we’ve created a simple concept — short videos of stunning beauty from the natural world. 3. We receive mail from school classes and kids who draw themselves helping the planet. Another talented Greenpeacer drew these coloring pages and I want to share them with you in case you like to color or you know someone who could enjoy them. If you’re inspired, please post your colored page online with #createartforearth so I can see your creations! 4. If you’re like me, you’ve been on countless video conference calls. I’ve been working from home and enjoying using virtual backgrounds that take me to a Greenpeace event or hot air balloon, even if I can’t leave my apartment. We have some pretty amazing images in our photo library and I hope you can enjoy these that I selected for you. I’m imagining them as a virtual background or screensaver. 5. Greenpeace also has a library of online Compass magazine editions. If you’ve always wanted to know more about what Greenpeace does, check out our Compass magazine archives. 6. Finally, I’m having a hard time sitting still at home and want to stay connected to important issues. Sound familiar? Just because there’s a pandemic, doesn’t mean our work is slowing down. In fact it’s picking up. Together we are holding the government and fossil fuel industry accountable. We’re fighting for a just Green New Deal recovery that puts people first. We’re uplifting low-wealth families and communities of color on the frontlines of the public health and climate crisis. We are fighting for you, and your continued support makes that possible. Check out our latest information about fossil fuel bailouts the Trump administration is trying to push forward, all our COVID-19 related content, and action you can take from your home to make the world a better place. Jeanne, I hope you’re taking good care. Be well, Nicole Davis P.S. I’m planning to send you more resources in the coming weeks so keep an eye out. Also, mark your calendar for May 5th. We will be participating in Giving Tuesday Now which is an opportunity for people around the world to join together in unity — to use our collective power of generosity to remain connected and heal. Greenpeace never takes a dime from corporations or governments. Everything we do is thanks to the generous support of people like you!
