Thank you, Third Actors, for all you are doing this Earth Week! We are hearing from many of you about Earth Day events you are organizing and participating in, actions at bank branches to persuade them to stop financing fossil fuels, interfaith actions during this Sacred Season, postcards to voters, and more.
Today we are writing to invite you to two Third Act events next week: (1) our April All-In Call on April 27 that will feature Ukrainian climate scientist and environmental lawyer Svitlana Romanko who will share from the frontlines what’s happening on the ground in Ukraine and how people can help, as well as other inspiring speakers; and (2) our monthly Welcome Call on April 25 facilitated by Bob Fulkerson, Third Act’s Lead National Organizer, to help orient plug-in those of you who are new to Third Act and our campaigns.
Please check-out the details below and RSVP. We look forward to our continued work together as we make collective impact. And check out the PS below for some musical inspiration…
With appreciation,
Vanessa Arcara

JOIN APRIL EVENTS
April All-In Call: Ukraine & Climate Change
April 27, 8 pm ET/5 pm PT – Join Third Act’s monthly call and learn what’s happening on the ground in Ukraine and what you can do to help from Svitlana Romanko, Ukrainian climate scientist and environmental lawyer leading the Zero Fossil Fuel Campaign of the Laudato Si’ Movement and spearheading with-ukraine.org; get inspired to take action by Lillian Fortuna, an 11-year old activist organizing around heat pumps for peace; and hear highlights from the Third Act Nevada working group and their efforts to protect our climate and democracy in the Silver State.
April 25, 7:30 pm ET/4:30 pm PT – Join Third Act’s monthly Welcome Call for new Third Act supporters. Everyone has a role to play in Third Act’s campaigns to protect our climate and safeguard our democracy! Come learn how you can engage with other experienced Americans and get plugged-in to Third Act activities near you. Bob Fulkerson, Third Act’s Lead National Organizer and other Third Act staff will help orient you and inspire you to take action.
P.S. Here at Third Act we believe art, music, and culture are powerful agents of change. Listen to this moving clip by singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk of Boombox. He cut his U.S. tour short, returned home and took up arms to defend his homeland. A few days later, the Boombox singer posted a clip on Instagram that showed him in military fatigues and a New York Yankees baseball cap performing “The Red Viburnum In The Meadow,” a Ukrainian protest song written during World War I. Then, Pink Floyd – with Andriy’s permission – created this charity single called “Hey, hey, rise up.” Proceeds from this single will be donated to the Ukraine Humanitarian Relief Fund.
P.P.S. We’ve got more Postcards to Voters! Join with Third Act’s Democracy Force to write postcards and mobilize voters in Wisconsin to request their vote-by-mail ballot. A great to way increase voter participation in this year’s Midterm primary in August and general election in November. Sign-up to get voter addresses here.
