Jeanne ―
We’ve been organizing direct action protests to call out JPMorgan Chase’s financing of fossil fuels since 2017. We’ve simultaneously shut down 13 of their branches, put a pipeline through their regional offices, and shut down the street outside of their PNW HQ ― twice.
Now, we’re taking our message on the road. Outside of Wall Street, the country’s largest financial center is in San Francisco and next month we’re joining with Bay Area activists for an action that Wall Street won’t be able to ignore.
Our goal is to take at least twenty activists from Seattle to aid our allies in San Francisco for an impactful action on the world’s largest funders of climate chaos. We don’t want to share too many details yet, but we’re having an action meeting on Thursday where we will share the full action plan:
What: Seattle > San Francisco Action Meeting
When: Thursday, August 25th, 6:30-8:30pm
Where: Volunteer Park Amphitheater (on the west side of Volunteer Park. Map here.)
This meeting is only for people interested in joining us for the action in San Francisco. We’ll be carpooling from Seattle and anticipate leaving on September 17th or 18th and arriving back in Seattle on September 21st, 22nd, or 23rd.
At Thursday’s meeting, we will share the full action plan, as well as the travel and accommodation plans.
We hope you can make it.
In solidarity,
Alec and Alice M, for the 350 Seattle Stop the Money Pipeline team
