Happy Wednesday, Jeanne!
Today we’ve got a time sensitive action listed first – removing discriminatory Jaywalking laws in the state, which are used disproportionately against marginalized folks.
We’re also seeing the result of next week’s big deadline – all policy bills must make it through their first committee by February 17th. That means it’s time to rally an extra push on some of our favorites that have yet to receive their first hearing!
We know it can feel a bit intimidating to take actions that involve reaching out via email or phone, and we also know that these actions make a BIG impact on lawmakers. We’ve got simple tools to make it easy, and we’re SO glad you’re taking action with us.
– Grace, Rachel, and the whole CAT crew
PS, did you know that porcupines float in water because of their hollow quills, which act like buoys?
