Hi Jeanne,

This is the week that policy bills have to get out of committee to survive, and our legislators are working incredibly hard. We were told that they, too, have trouble keeping the bill numbers straight, so you’ll notice the prepared email subject lines have a brief description in addition to the bill number.

Some of the bills we’ve been tracking and supporting have progressed, e.g. the WRAP Act, establishing producer responsibility and a statewide standard for recycling, and the Energy Navigator bill which would establish a resource for people to learn about energy upgrades and available incentives. Yay!

PS: Environmental Lobby Days 2023 are this week: Tuesday February 14th through Thursday the 16th. Registration for constituent lobbying is now closed, but you can still join the briefings, workshops and presentations. Several different public, virtual events will be held each day through Zoom meetings, Facebook Live, Instagram stories and more!
