Good morning,
Today we’re focusing on Wednesday’s Opposite Chamber Cutoff. Bills have to pass both chambers by end of day Wednesday, so today’s actions all involve contacting your legislators to urge them to push the remaining bills to a vote.
Once passed, a bill then goes to the Governor for signature or, if each chamber’s version differs, it goes through a process called concurrence to reconcile the two versions.
We have some good news – HB 1181 Climate in the GMA, a bill we’ve been pushing for, passed its opposite chamber, the Senate, last week!
Starting with our next alert, we’ll be focused on budget reconciliation and concurrence issues — so we’re not done yet 😉
