We’re halfway through the legislative session!
That means to survive, bills need to have made it through committees in the chamber of origin. The bills that are still alive sit in the House or Senate Rules Committees. There, they need to be “pulled” in order to go to the floor for a vote. Most of what we’re asking you to do today is to contact your own district senator or representatives and ask them to pull the bills, bring them to the floor and vote for them. All the bills today are climate and housing related.
This is our first email in which there are no immediate short-term deadlines. You can do them as you have time, and as always, you can do a few, scroll down and click “Done”, and come back later and do more. That said, all of the bills need to receive a floor vote by March 8th. Most of the actions may be a little quicker today.
– Grace, Margie, and the whole CAT crew.
