Hi friends,
Wow what a whirlwind – hope you’re all staying grounded despite it all.
I’m reaching out with an urgent opportunity to take action targeting one of our favorite fiduciary oily banks, Wells Fargo. In addition to their offenses against the land, the people, their customers, and their own employees, they’re also scheming with authoritarians to privatize public institutions. 🙃
As we know, the bank has pulled out of the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, abandoning even their weakest climate promises. Putting the rest of our campaigns at risk, we worry other banks will follow suit. At the same hand, Wells Fargo has been quietly pursuing deals to profit off the U.S. Postal Service.
So! We’re partnering with groups across climate, labor, and public interest movements to call on Wells Fargo to back off from fossil fuel financing and keep their hands off the USPS.
This moment matters: we’re in a critical window to spotlight Wells Fargo’s actions and ramp up public pressure as their AGM is next week on the 29th. We’re asking for your help in amplifying this push, especially this action targeting the bank executives with your base.
