While COVID-19 has changed the way we can organize, it will not defeat our continued resistance against tar sands projects like Keystone XL (which is currently being built amidst the coronavirus pandemic) and our fight to stop the fossil fuel industry from being bailed out while communities get left behind. Join us next Thursday to hear about our strategies to build power and take action together to protect our communities and our climate and put people over profits.
Because of this webinar, our regular monthly local group call which would have taken place on Wednesday, May 13 will be cancelled.
Want to get active right now? Share this video highlighting virtual banners from frontline Indigenous communities fighting Keystone XL. Here’s our Facebook post + tweet – please amplify!
We are working with folks around the country putting together virtual banners targeting the govenors along the route who have the power to stop KXL right now. If you want to be part of this movement you can find more information in our toolkit and watch this brief video tutorial.
Please feel free follow up with me (nkenge.abidemi@350.org) and David Solnit (ArtsOrganizer@350.org) if your group can stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, farmers and ranchers along the KXL route.
