Last week, we wrapped up our week of action to stop the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), and it was a huge success!
Here’s a quick look at the numbers:
– Nearly 10,000 people signed up to be part of the week of action and thousands more took action from 149 countries.
– Over 10,000 people signed our solidarity letter with Ugandan students who protested EACOP, and hundreds left personal messages of support.
– Thousands sent messages on social media telling pipeline backers Standard Bank and Marsh to drop EACOP.
– And so much more!
The people of Uganda and Tanzania are being kicked off their land, their livelihoods and water supply are being endangered by oil spills, and they are being attacked, harassed, and intimidated when they speak out.1
It’s their stories the world needs to hear most.
So please, set aside 40 minutes to watch this documentary today. Educating ourselves and sharing the stories of our friends in Uganda and Tanzania is so important in the fight against TotalEnergies and its destructive pipeline.
