The Summer of Heat campaign launches on Monday ― and it’s going to be one heck of a week. On Monday, we’re going to shut down the global headquarters of Citibank with our bodies. On Tuesday, we’re going to do it with orca whales. On Wednesday, we’re going to do it with scientists. On Thursday, we will do it with grandparents and elders.
We’ll be sending out emails every day this week, asking you to support these actions from your own homes: this week, we’ll be making phone calls to Citi, trolling them on social media, and swamping their executives in emails. And there is one more way you can support the Summer of Heat wherever you are.
After all, what better place is there to report back from and raise money for our campaign of civil disobedience against Citibank than directly from the Citibank’s headquarters?
Streaming live from Citi’s HQ, we will interview grandparents who were arrested that morning, campaign leaders about what’s coming next, and an orca whale who will be fresh off having participated in the largest-ever land-based orca protest. There will be oil pipelines, boats, a cartwheel, and live music, as well as a very special message from a very special guest.
