Jeanne,

It’s been a tough few months, but we’re ending this week on a high note—literally.

Our week of action to save the United States Postal Service was absolutely amazing!

  • 372,139 people signed our petition demanding that the White House and Congress fully fund the United States Post Office.
  • 30,201 people committed to mailing their US Senators telling them to save the postal service.
  • Nearly 20,000 people have watched our new #SaveThePostOffice song by grammy nominated bluegrass musician, Joe Troop.

We think that Joe Troop’s new song, “A Plea to the US Government to Fully Fund the Postal Service” is a great way to close out our successful week of action—especially since today is May 1, International Workers’ Day.

Our new #SaveThePostOffice bluegrass song has been a huge hit on Facebook. You can watch and share the video by clicking here. (If you’re not on Facebook, you can find the video here.)

We really appreciate your support in this campaign. It’s the biggest digital campaign we’ve ever done.  This is just the beginning. We are working day and night for progressive wins outside city limit signs because we believe rural America is worth fighting for.

We’ll have more updates soon!

In solidarity,

Matt Hildreth

P.S. It’s not too late to send your Senators a letter demanding that Congress fully fund the post office. You can find more information on our #SaveThePostOffice campaign here.
