Jeanne- This is the video that Coca-Cola, Nestlé and PepsiCo don’t want you to see. Today we are launching a brand new video called the “Story of the Bottle” in collaboration with animator Daniel Bird and the London Community Gospel Choir. Set to the tune of “We Got the Whole World in our Hands,” this powerful video shows the entire destructive lifecycle of a plastic bottle — from the fossil fuel extraction required to make single-use plastic to the dumping grounds where these bottles inevitably wind up after disposable. However, more courageously, it highlights the impact and fight by frontline activists to break free from fossil fuels harming their communities. It also gives a clear mandate for Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and Nestlé: ditch single-use plastic and invest in a future with reusable solutions that support a livable world for us all. Do you know the Real Story of the Bottle? Watch now! Almost all plastic begins as a fossil fuel.1 These big brands are not only plastic pollution villains, but they are in bed with the fossil fuel industry — driving the climate crisis and harming Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Frontline communities living near petrochemical facilities and extraction zones. More than 10,000 Greenpeace activists have already sent a message to Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and Nestlé to stop fueling the climate crisis and demand they ditch throwaway plastic made from fossil fuels for reuse and refill solutions. Will you help amplify the campaign by checking out the video and sharing with three friends today? We’ve got the whole world in OUR hands. Thanks for watching! Kate Melges, Senior Plastics Campaigner PS – It’s not too late to send a message to Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Nestlé to demand these big brands ditch plastic and invest in reuse and refill solutions. Take action Now! Greenpeace never takes a dime from corporations or governments. Everything we do is thanks to the generous support of people like you!
